Nikki in happier days. Click on image to see the video.
"Nikki's Changed" was recorded by the U.S. Mods at Rockhill Records, Studio One, in Kettering, Ohio. Tom Henninger thought it would be interesting to write a lyric from the perspective of a friend of a child molestation victim. The crime changes Nikki, but also affects the people around her in a profound way. Nikki was happy and fun, but now she's distant and withdrawn. Her friends, who loved her, now feel pushed aside and left out of Nikki's inner life. Sad but all too true, "Nikki's Changed" addresses a glimpse of life from a unique perspective.
This is an exceptional song. The video is so well done, and the actors portray the characters so realistically that it can be difficult to watch.

All my life I’ve lived on Nikki’s street
All my life I’ve known her well
She’s always come and gone
And done just what she’s pleased
There is something very different about her now
Nikki told me that her father was her friend
And they shared a secret no one else could know
Then she fell into my arms and exploded into tears
My Nikki said this secrets been since she was 15 years
